Beach Education

On Thursday the 7th of December we went to Waimarama Beach for Beach Education, we did LOTS of fun activities including, swimming, sandcastle building, & relays and of course lots more. I REALLY enjoyed the the water activities and the fish & chips. I learn that there are a lot of  jellyfish than I thought. 

Scraffito Healthy Body & Strong Minds Art

In room 22 we have been making  Sgraffito Art based on or inquiry topic Healthy Body and Strong Minds my person is doing an Aerial\no handed cartwheel here is what we did. 
First we made a silhouette on newspaper of what we wanted or person to be doing then we went around it in vivid and cut it out. Then we got a piece of A3 paper and we marked a pattern of our choice on the paper with pastel. Then we went over it with black tempera paint, after the paint was dry we put our silhouette on the paper and scratched around it with a skewer then we scratched inside our outline.
After we finished we cut 1cm off around the outside. Finally we got a piece of coloured paper of our choice and glued our sgraffito art to the coloured paper then we were done.  
This is my final artwork.
